WORDS OF WISDOM
Your mouth just reacts more than normal. So normally if you're doing the regular things like brushing, flossing, and you have like a little bit of plaque, your gums are okay with it. If you do the same things, and when you get pregnant with the difference in hormones and everything else, your gums just react way more.
Cavities and wear on your teeth is from acid. It's not from sugar. So you eat sugar, the bacteria in your mouth, eat it, make it into an acid and the acid is what wears away the layers of your teeth.
Your health will impact your baby's health. And so if you're sick along the way or you're malnourished along the way, then it can lead to developmental defects on the kid's teeth.
